What does Sophiana do?

Sophiana helps you turn your written work into a video script optimised for being recommended on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. You can then film this script immediately with an in-app teleprompter. This idea was a double prize winner, winning awards from Women in Journalism in the UK and the International Center for Journalists in the US, each of which helped fund Sophiana’s development.

Is Sophiana free?

It’s free to download, but you’ll be nudged into a monthly, 6-month or annual subscription after some use of the app. I currently only offer the app for free as part of my pro bono coaching of women journalists in the UK as part of the WIJ x Sophiana fellowship - and it’s subscriptions like yours that help me make my vertical video support more accessible and sustainable.

Can I use it on my iPad or MacBook?

Well, it’s not what Sophiana was made for - this is a mobile app, and it’s only been designed for iPhones!
